Eden Amour

I believe artists need to create and pursue passion, not because they need to prove their skill but because it’s our nature to be artists. I’ve been on a journey learning how to live in a way that lets me breathe in and enjoy the beauty around me, and I wish for others to live their life in beautiful ways too. I’ve learned that my disciplines do not have to be limited to a title but rather how I express my disciplines. My experience has been a journey of studying all my skills in a non-traditional timeline and putting out my best work in a state of gratitude. 

Pre-Production has been very helpful on my way to being an artist, especially when learning how to do storyboard editing, script writing, and better understanding my intuition. I started to slowly feel out when I felt most inspired and what common elements I gravitated towards when I was finding myself stuck. The main 2 mediums that I recognized gave me the urge to create Photography and Directing. I picked up my first camera 4 years ago and have developed not only my skills, but my taste, interests, and desire to create the art i need to live for, not just the art i want to see. 

I have also evolved my directing skills in Cinematography after learning I can be creating the media that suits my expression instead of waiting for someone else to do it. The best part of cinematography is finding the right heartbeat of each scene, everything has a purpose once it’s captured by the camera. The skills of Directing have helped me develop strategies for producing and being a passionate story teller. 

While guiding myself through different types of projects, I found myself in a place where I can create lore and stories for more than just film and video media, but entire projects and ideas. I have now found myself working towards refining my niche on a track towards Creative Direction, the Visual Story Building medium,

With creative direction I have found myself being able to land myself in any part of the production cycle. In active production I’ve found myself leaning into photographic and pose directing and in post production I’ve been enjoying product marketing and data research. More than anything with creative direction I really connect with my creative roots in photography. I have been able to create community and create pieces that resonate deeply with me with photography. My passion and most consistent bookings are in fashion and documentary style behind the scenes photography for large productions.
